Don..I would suggest that he become friend with an expat here and schedule a vacation here and have a chance to see the stairs, the difficult walk ways, and try to cross a street...Maybe then he could accept the vacation and people..That is if an expat in the area he speaks of will allow him to stay with him for the vacation... Maybe he could even do that more than once when he feels the need to adventure.."
