another point of view: In the Philippines the gold jewelery is much much cheaper then anywhere else. In most cases the jewelery is used only to bring it in the next pawnshop to use the (little) money ( about 25% of its value ) for any " special occasion "? occasions that might happen every day. Just my 5 cents worth about sending jewelery to think about.

Hello ,
Take a teddy bear, open its seems, place the jewelry inside
and re-sew the seems. If your afraid customs may steal the bear for
thier child, hide the jewelry inside of a small electronic item like
a cheap alarm clock. If your afraid theyll steal the alarm clock,
get a box and create a false bottom. If your still afraid theyll
steal it wait untill your traveling there in person. I really dont
know but if you get creative Im sure your jewelry will arrive there
without issue. Maybe if you have a false tooth you could hide stuff
inside of it like they did on the movie blood diamond.
