Don. That's true. I would rather live here in the Philippines even
if the cost of living were the same as in the US; I just like the
place. One good thing though, we have a lot of room to maneuver if
we need to cut the budget. If worse came to worse, we could always
adopt the Filipino diet and learn how to eat fish. Probably filet
it and make our own tartar sause and we would do just fine. We have
a very nice house now but we could always sell it and build a native
style house which would be comfortable also. Put in the napa mating
for walls and could probably get by with only a fan since
ventilation would be much better than concrete with small windows as
most houses seem to be built here. Don;t really need a car either
which would save a lot. Back in the US, at times I used to really
worry about where the next meal is coming from. At least, we don't
have that worry here. I feel much better off here than in the US.
Life was a real fight there just to keep your head above water. At
