Note from Don. This is the fun one called off topic, the new car from India. I posted a link. Who does not like to talk about the our Natioal Obsession the the automoble?
But off topic post are list killers and wear out your helpful Guides.
Surely we have something to say about the Philippines
Th National Car here is the Jeepney. What a wild assortment ot metal paint and people. And the driver has an asstant to take the money, direct and guide. On the our website there is the book, the Filipino Mind, a link to a free copy of it. A whole section is about the Jeepney as a microscom of Philppine Society.
If you don't have jeepney story you don't really live here. Can we hear yours. Jeepney Paul a great contributor may grace us again with another story of his jeepmoble experiences.
There are creative people amoung you. Let not oniy discuss how much it cost. It is a hoot to live here in a culture and with people we don't really understand. I think those of you who share now and look for some more to join you!

IMHO: After searching for information on the Internet; I found much
info on this car; however, I wouldn't consider buying it unless I
could see a report about how well it would hold up on the 'less than
good roads'.
Even if they opened a factory here; I would want to have info about
the car's sturdiness, before I would consider buying one. :-)

after tax, delivery, etc. So $7,000 imported into the Philippines if
made in India.
