With the discovery of glitches in 76,000 compact flash (CF) cards in the Precinct Count Optical Scanner (PCOS) machines just five days prior to Election Day, the probability of a "NO-EL" (no election) scenario is almost a certainty. There is just no way that Smartmatic-TIM — the contractor responsible for the operation of the new Automated Election System (AES) — could fix the "source code" glitches, lab-test the corrected "source code," create 76,000 new CF cards, and thoroughly field-test the PCOS machines throughout the country.
