Re: [LinP3] dessert recipes

There's have a lot of Filipino desserts that you can cook some are a bit
heavy like kakanin made of rice flour, rice, these are not actually desserts
those are for snacks. Some are baked or no baked some are just simple. Be
specific what would you like to try. Some are easy and simple. I also would
like to try beko we call it. It's made of glutinous rice cooked in coconut
milk and brown sugar you can make it a new taste for adding caraway seeds or
cardamom seeds while cooking. There are cook books that have limited local
desserts. You can try mango pudding, rice pudding, maja blanca, I make
apple, or peach crumbles so far. I missed the cherry cobbler though! I guess
you can buy a Philippine desserts book from National bookstore. Sometimes
when I really want quickie dessert I just cubed ripe banana Tundan or
lakatan fragrant banana then put a table spoon brown sugar, little pinch of
salt and cinnamon add fresh milk and 2 cubed of iced. Or you can add other
fruits like cubed cantaloupe. You can warm the milk first if you want with
cardamom seeds or any flavorings that you want. There are endless
possibilities in the Philippines just be creative.
