I've heard so many times....."you will live like a millionaire in the
Philippines on your money from abroad."
Here is why that reasoning is specious. The standard of living is
different. Well, you might contend, I have enough money and hubris to compensate for
that difference. Yes, grass hopper....but your hubris will not sustain your
hunger. Because no matter how much money you spend you will not attain the
ideal of the "Western World" materialist. It just is not available there. If
your looking to make a splash maybe you might consider a nice condo in
Charlotte. The Philippines is not for the faint of heart. No matter what their
pockets faucet.
