If you will check with your particular denomination, many have schools in the
islands. I have knowledge that many Baptist churches in the USA sponsor
colleges in the Philippines. I believe that the Chruch of Christ also does simular
instruction. I know of Cebu Bilbe College. Mr. Carlson is an instructor there and
he was a CW4 in the Military. I am thinking that he could point you to a school
if you desire one other than in Cebu. There is a web site for the college. You will
not find finer folks than Larry and Yolanda Carlson and tell them JIMBO said hello
from Houston.
I also know that at least in Houston, there is a program to send material over to
the Philippines, material such as song bucks and bibles, for young minsiters who
are trying to do God's work. I believe that you will see more of these programs in
the future. KHCB radio, [keeping him close by], has information on these programs
and the number excapes me at the moment, but they do have folks that often man
the phones around [most of], the clock.
