Thats darn good advice! It really all starts with the
trustworthy and competent architect. He can arrange
evrything for you, get you supply discounts, find your
contractors and handle the local building permits.
So ask around and meet at least three architects next
time and choose one you like best. Pay him a monthly
fee to supervise the construction on your behalf. And
pay him a set fee for the design plans too. He will be
happy....and so will you! But check on his work
weekly!

I gave my wifes brother a digital camera to send
weekly update photos of my construction. 15 photos
every week for 4 months did the trick. Keet a
rentention fee of 10% which is paid only when you are
happy with the completed house!
