I actually tried twice to purchase one of these low-cost LAX-MNL
China Airlines flights from www.atiflights.
received this message,

I subsequently received an e-mail from them offering me a flight on
same days ss orginally requested:
"Dear Customer
We apologize for not being able to confirm your request due to a
system error.
Please find below the least expensive fare available for $ 978.07 with
insurance included."
Hope you have better luck with atiflights than i did.
