Getting an annulment takes 12-24 months, and costs P100,000 or more.
That is cheap for a divorce by US standards, but a fortune here. The
main hassle is the time.
Getting an annulment is fairly routine if the husband has abandoned
the wife and kids for a long time and had no contact (I think they
consider 7 years sufficient). And sadly these guys do abandon them
for a younger model with impunity. If she is a good woman, you may
find her a great wife well worth the time and money. She might be
very grateful.
But I do recommend having an investigator check her out. She may have
taken up with other men and just be playing you for a fool, taking
money for an annulment and just spending it with her new man.
Speaking from experience guys.
There's nothing wrong with shacking up with her until the annulment
comes through, it's probably wise. Things look different after a few
months.
