See and lawyer, [whick I am not], and pick a state that has
NO income taxes, such as New Hampshire, [which also has
no sales tax], Texas or Florida.
Even NY pensions that are collected in Florida, [from my
understanding]
choose California as it has one hell of an income tax.
Been there and done that too!!

I guess that makes sense. I don't own any property in Wisconsin (and
given the property tax hell that this state is, I never plan to). I
wonder if I would have to close my bank accounts in Wisconsin and
reopen them in another state--even if within the same bank?
