Both work, Paul but sometimes two ID's are needed. The advantage of
using the Philippine Drivers License is that you might be considered
to be trying to adapt a little to the Philippines.
Like you said it is not necessary but it is sometimes an advantage
to have.
What I do if they want one ID I use just the Filipino license and if
they want two I use my Filipino license and my passport.
