[LinP3] Re: Widower Moving to Phils from USA with 2 TEENAGE DAUGHTERS...good idea or no?

Well Steve, I raised my 3 kids alone for 15 yrs, with no extended
family and had to navigate through my x-wife's death from cancer. I
know of no job harder than single parenting, especially without the
large close families of yesterday.
Depending on the time since the death, the feelings of ur kids, how ur
fiancee will handle the problems, her level of maturity, does she have
kids, God, just thinking back to those times, my heart goes out to u.
Network, reach out to ur family, church and community. Do what ever
you have to do to keep ur sanity, but stay put. I don't know what I
would have done had I met Anna early enough to bring her into my
family as a step mom. As it was, I vacationed for Months at a time in
the RP since my daughter would take Zack to her house.
My kids are good and respectful, but compared to my extended family in
the RP, they r not.
Why haven't u thought to bring ur fiancee to marry and live here? As
big a change as it would be for ur kids to move to the RP, the
cultural differences for ur fiancee dealing with the average kids who
did not lose their mom would be huge.

Good luck and God Bless
Joe
